異化與文學(xué)翻譯

摘要：一個(gè)多世紀(jì)以來(lái)，除了“五四”以后短短十余年，我國(guó)的文學(xué)翻譯策略大多以歸化譯法為主。20世紀(jì)80年代以后，受到西方翻譯理論的啟發(fā)，中國(guó)翻譯界才對(duì)異化和歸化有了進(jìn)一步的認(rèn)識(shí)，至此，異化譯法才逐漸受到重視。本文從文學(xué)的文學(xué)性、語(yǔ)言形式和文化因素三方面入手，指出文學(xué)翻譯應(yīng)該充分發(fā)揮異化翻譯法的優(yōu)勢(shì)，將歸化限制在最小的范圍內(nèi)。

Abstract: Literary translation in China was dominated by strategies of domestication in the first hundred years except the short period of fifteen or sixteen years after the May 4 Movement. Up to 1980s, due to the influence of western translation theories, China’s translation area began to reconsider the relationship between foreignization and domestication. Since then, foreignizing translation has been giving increasing attention by theorists and translators. By carefully investigating the literariness, the linguistic and cultural elements in literary works, this paper argues that domesticating translation is likely to lead to the loss of flavor and cultural elements and is opposite to the aesthetic expectation of the TL reader and puts forward that literary translation should reproduce the “foreignness” as much as possible and to use domesticating translation as a supplementary method when it is necessary.
