ABSTRACT

With the development of Rolling technology, the surface quality of steel billet have been greatly improved. However, the rolled alloy bar has always kept a certain shortcomings, and need for the following surface cleaning. The traditional surface treatment methods include: turning, milling, grinding and so on. Compare with various technical advantages and disadvantages, we found that the belt grinding process technology compare with the ever before process technology has greater technical advantages and development potential. Use the Belt Grinding which is a new technology, can preferably figuring of the steel billet surface and get better surface quality.
The article compared the various surface cleaning technology 's advantages and disadvantages, and combination the characteristic of lage-circle billet that will be processing, we obtain a conclusion that will use the grinding method to processing. And then compare with the belt-grinding and the wheel-grinding of their advantages and disadvantages, determine to use the belt-grinding for processing. And then the article detailed exposition the theoretical principles of belt-grinding, the processing methods and characteristics, the current situation and development trend both here and abroad, and the grinding's layout and design. And make a detailed description of functional principle, organizational design and calculation process of the new belt-grinding grinder, the selection of grinding parameters and machine parameters, the strength check, the design of overall layout and the design of the automatic discharge organization. At the end the article exhibit how to resolve the various problem in design process and the design results.
