ABSTRACT

In the field of digital information can be recorded discs￡?DVD-R with high-density data storage￡?large capacity￡?long storage life￡?versatile￡?usage convenience￡?manufacture low-cost and other characteristics has became an integral part of the record information carrier in the information society. Based on the research of the relationship between the DVD-R production injection molding processes in the various parameters and the quality of the DVD-R disc, the production process of quality control will be achieved.
With the complex production process of DVD-R, all the aspects of the production of quality testing and control methods have stringent requirements. DVD-R discs was consisted of two 0.6mm thick discs, and the injection process is the one of the important technologies of the whole copy production process. In this injection process, the precision groove will be copy with quality requirements of the DVD-R key indicators: low birefringence, a good groove and a neat disc.
In this paper, through the appropriate changes in injection molding process parameters, such as the mold temperature, the charging temperature, injection of speed, clamping force and other process parameters to study the specific impact in quality indicators such as DVD-R disc thickness, the shape of groove, birefringence and the tile. With the conclusion of this research, the optimal process parameters for production can be easily found, and the control in the production quality can be carry out.
