[論文摘要]隨著信息時代的到來，計算機技術的蓬勃發(fā)展，以及人們對移動通信的需求迅速增加，移動通信技術的更新換代的聲音越來越大。人們不禁會問，移動通信技術的未來是什么？而3G正是在這種時代背景下誕生的。3G是英文3rd Generation 的縮寫，指第三代移動通信技術。相對第一代模擬制式手機（1G）和第二代GSM、TDMA 等數字手機（2G），第三代移動通信一般地講，是指將無線通信與國際互聯網等多媒體通信結合的新一代移動通信系統。它能夠處理圖像、音樂、視頻流等多種媒體形式，提供包括網頁瀏覽、電話會議、電子商務等多種信息服務。
本文從移動通信發(fā)展簡史、3G系統的功能特點、世界三大主流3G標準的比較分析等幾個方面著手，詳細介紹第三代移動通信技術的技術特點和中國3G的發(fā)展現狀及未來。

[Abstract] Along with the information age arrival, the mobile communication demand is rapid increase since the development of the computer science. The mobile communication technology renewal is imminent. What is the future of the mobile communication technology? 3G. 3G is the third generation for short. It means the third generation mobile communication technology. The cellular concept was introduced in the 1G technology which made the large scale mobile wireless communication possible. Digital communication has replaced the analogy technology in the 2G which significantly improved the wireless communication quality. 3G stand is the third generation of wireless communication technologies, which can process the image, music, the video frequency flows and so on many kinds of media form, provides including the homepage browsing, the teleconference, electronic commerce and so on the multiple message service. Therefore, the difficulty brought by the method of labeling an image manually becomes significant.
This article will introduce the mobile communication development brief history, the 3G system function characteristic and the comparison and analysis of the three main 3G standard. And then it detailed introduce the third generation mobile communication technology technical characteristic and 3G development present situation and future in China.
