威廉•布萊克《天堂與地獄的婚姻》中的預言性

摘    要

威廉•布萊克是18世紀末19世紀初的英國最獨特的浪漫主義詩人之一。許多批評家把他看作是世界著名的詩人、預言家、哲學家、藝術家。但是他在生前基本無人知曉，被同時代的人稱為瘋子。直到人類進入20世紀以后，人們才驚訝地發(fā)現(xiàn)布萊克早已在詩中描述了現(xiàn)代人的生存狀態(tài)并指出了他們的希望所在。他的作品開始獨放異彩?！短焯门c地獄的婚姻》是布萊克一部經(jīng)典的預言書。此書集中體現(xiàn)了布萊克的預言天賦。

本論文將從四部分論述布萊克《天堂與地獄的婚姻》中的預言性。第一部分首先對布萊克和之前關于《天堂與地獄的婚姻》的研究成果進行了介紹，第二部分對預言理論進行闡述包括預言的起源及發(fā)展，第三部分論述布萊克在《天堂與地獄的婚姻》中的預言方法：對立、視像和想象，第三部分論述了布萊克在《天堂與地獄的婚姻》預言的具體體現(xiàn)：帝國的覆滅和耶路撒冷的重建，第五部分為論文的結論部分。

The Embodiments of prophecy in William Blake’s The Marriage of Heaven and Hell

Abstract

William Blake is one of the most unique poets of Romanticism. Many critics consider him as a remarkable poet, prophet, philosopher and artist in the world. He was unknown during his lifetime and was often called a madman. Many people surprisingly find that Blake has depicted the life in modern time in his poems and pointed out the prospects. The Marriage of Heaven and Hell is a classical prophetic book, which shows Blake’s gift of prophecy.

The thesis will deal with Blake’s embodiments of prophecy in five sections. The first section is an introduction to Blake and the previous studies on The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. The second section introduces the theory of prophecy including its origin and historical developments. The third section is about the prophetic methods applied in The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, including contradiction, vision and imagination. The fourth section is about the embodiments of prophecy in The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, including the prophecy of the destruction of empire and Jerusalem’s reconstruction. The fifth section is the conclusion.
