經過多年的推廣，CAD技術已經廣泛地應用在機械、電子、航天、化工、建筑等行業(yè)。應用CAD技術起到了提高企業(yè)的設計效率、優(yōu)化設計方案、減輕技術人員的勞動強度、縮短設計周期、加強設計的標準化等作用。近年來，我國CAD技術的開發(fā)和應用取得了長足的發(fā)展，除對許多國外軟件進行了漢化和二次開發(fā)以外，還誕生了不少具有自主版權的CAD系統(tǒng)，如高華CAD，開目CAD等，由于這些軟件價格便宜，符合本國國情和標準，所以受到了廣泛的歡迎，贏得了越來越大的市場份額
