ABSTRACT
Injection moulding is by far the most popular process for the production of plastic parts for all kind of applications. In the course of traditional design of injection moulding, the set of injection processing parameters and the designing are chiefly depend on experience, which may be not only inaccurate but also waste a large number of work and money, but with the use of computer associated technology, it has a large percent of priority. The main work of this paper are analyze the injection processing of plastic oil pipeline joints using Moldflow and the design of the injection mould using CAD. Moldflow is one of the most widely used analyze software which can predict the defaults in the injection processing, thus can reduce the number of trying and the cost.
This paper introduce the present status of the plastic moulding, the development of injection moulding CAD/CAE. It uses the software UG to model the plastic welding torch shaft, and then use the software Moldflow to perform the simulation of the filling phase and the cooling phase of the procession, and make analysis of the results of the simulation, acquire the final optimal entrance location, optimal processing parameters and the optimal cooling circle; With the results, it designs the reasonable and feasible injection mold for the welding torch shaft.
